    Gym/Health Club Memberships

    Where do you go?
    Where is it located?
    What's included?
    What's it costing?
What are the chances of Riven or Selwyn finding a date there?
    But your being a dick

I go to Fitness 360. It's near Delaware/Kenmore...across from Target Plaza.
It's pretty bare-bones....treadmills, elipticals, bikes, free weights and weight machines. Rarely have to wait to use any equipment. There are also yoga, 'boot camp', and spin classes available and included.

I pay $20/mo, though I think it's more for new members.

    Where: YMCA
    Located: North Buffalo
Included: Pool, small weight room, aerobics classes, a grody looking track
Costing: $45/mo for a family membership
Date Possibilities: You might have some luck taking an aerobics or spinning class. Avoid the water aerobics group unless you're looking for a senior citizen gal.

Well, this thread really took off.
OK--question for those of you who DO workout...what type of program do you do? Cardio? Strength training? etc...

I lift heavy logs and carry them up hills. Stack them. Then cut them to length and split them with a maul into smaller pieces and stack them again. Then I carry bundles into the house when I need them.

Forgot about the stretching component; very important. And, yes cardio, albeit monotonous, is a must. So, get moving BPP!

I do about 25-30 minutes of cardio 4-5 times a week (usually on the elliptical). I stretch (not enough) before and after most of the workouts. I do light weight training once or twice a week.

During the summer I do a LOT more cardio (I ride my bike to work) but less weight training as I'm not actually in the gym.
