I think it was great, and great for Buffalo!Originally Posted by WNYresident
I do wish I had tickets but wasn't going to spend $250 each to go.
I hope they make it a tradition and can do it again!
Put it this way - I never watch hockey (except for Playoffs), and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

To be there and scream "Let's go Buffalo!!!" heck yes!
But I don't do well in the cold. So, as much as I would love it, to be able to endure it would mean I wouldn't remember it.
I'm really wanting to see an All Star game come to Buffalo.

When you wear the right "gear" winter is NOT cold and can be very fun!Originally Posted by mesue
I would go to an outdoor game, but I wouldnt pay more than 50 bucks for a ticket.
I am not a hockey fan either, but I did enjoy watching it on TV, from the warmth of my house. I loved how it looked snowing on the rink.
Even though I'm not a hockey fan, I did want to go to the game - because it's an event. I just had no idea that it would sell out so quickly.
If they did it again next year (which they won't), I would have no interest in going. It wouldn't be as special.
PS I hope the Bills never build a domed stadium.
I have no problem with NOT being there, but I really had fun watching it...Buffalo looked great! So did that Penguin Sidney guy...Originally Posted by WNYresident

Great game, would have liked a different outcome.
The announcers sucked, Crosby, Crosby, Crosby, you would have thought he was the only player out there. (he is good, but give it a break). Then they were both talking about 5 on 4 in overtime due to the penalty. It's 4 on 3 in overtime, oh the great Canadian announcers............could complain about other stuff, but you get it, great game, terrible announce team.
Winter Classic = Good tradition for hockey, hope they keep it up.
If it weren't for the United States Military, there would be NO United States of America !
It's not the temerature of the cold so much as it's the incredible amount of pain I have in this weather. I'd have to take a lot of Lortab to tolerate the game and that would take the fun out of it. Unfortunately, I really am a fair weather fanOriginally Posted by Sylvan

There was nowhere there where you could see the game decently. If I wanted to sit in the cold and watch the game on a HD screen, I'd have opened my living room door and turned on my ceiling fanOriginally Posted by mesue

They sucked, worse than they did in the playoffs last year with that silly drunken idiot Brett Hull.Originally Posted by JustRetired
