Wake up Voters in West Seneca

If the voters want change, we need to elect DALE CLARKE and SHEILA MEEGAN
    to the Town Board.
I'm tired of the lack of control in the Town. Town employees working overtime
to their hearts content. The largest abusers of overtime are the following:

Ed Toy - R/P Appraiser $32,000+ in overtime on top of his $61,750 salary.
Steve Amoia- General Crew Chief $32,500 in overtime on top of his $69,500 salary
Bill O'Neil-Clark's Brother-in-law-Dog Catcher -$18,300+ in overtime on top of his
    $53,000 salary

Actually, the list has 195 Town of West Seneca Employees picking up overtime
most receiving between $6000 - $9000 in overtime.

Don't ever wonder why Clark, Hicks, Osmanski, Graber and Finnagan keep
getting the support of the Town employees. Who would want to give up
the extra cash this bunch of low life idiots has provided to most of the do nothing Town Employees. I'm sure that high property taxes don't bother these people who keep sucking off the taxpayer.

God help us if the taxpayers let OSMANSKI and HICKS stay on the Town Board.
Just remember we don't have a two party system in West Seneca- We have
    just one big happy family.
Hicks has the conservative line and you know that Lorigo and his bunch of thieves will get out the vote for Osmanski and Hicks.

So you really think this is excessive? I knew one employee in cheektowaga named Marc O. In 2000 he had $57,420 in salary and $17,758 in over time, 2001 took $58,189 salary with $31,198 in over time with a $100 clothing allowance. In 2002 by May he was already up to $9,213 in over time..

Don't you think this dedication is good? They are working thier asses off. Look at the hours they put in.

This was brought to my attention:

Some of those figures are off.

Because of the October storm last year the highway and buildings and grounds depts. worked about 3 weeks straight, 12-15 hr. days, sometimes longer. Emergency rate pay was enacted for the first time since the blizzard of '77. After 40 hrs., basically the first 3 days, all work afterwards was at o.t. rate till the emergency declaration was lifted.

There was quite a windfall of overtime.

    They earned it.

Last yr. is not indicative of a normal o.t. yearly earning.
This makes sense and when over time is truely required it's fine. The person I talked about had no reason to take what they did.

I've been trying to get the information. Apparently the date had to be changed due to a scheduling conflict with venues. It's usually right after election day (how convienient) Will post the date when I get one, or you can subscribe to the Town's electronic news letter on www.westseneca.net

    Oversight in West Seneca

If we are truly interested in change, contact the NYS Comptroller and voice your concerns over high taxes, no bid contracts, the soccer fields, the Canisius
Athletic field, AmeriCorp and anything else that you see as a problem.
The NYS Comptroller who is new I'm sure would like to follow the FBI into WS.
If they deem necessary, they can put in a Control Board to oversee our tax dollars.
Following is the info from NYS:

    Division of Investigations
New Toll-free Hotline for New Yorkers to Report Government Fraud and Corruption
    1-888-OSC-4555 (1-888-672-4555)
    Staffed from 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Weekdays

The Division of Investigations was established by the Office of the State Comptroller in January 2003. Its mission is to investigate allegations of fraud, corruption, mismanagement and waste in State agencies, local governments, including school districts and other local municipal departments. The Division also investigates allegations of fraud and corruption by vendors doing business with the State and local authorities. To ensure, through the proper balance of internal controls, corruption prevention and detection, that public funds are being used for their intended purposes, and by so doing to uphold the highest standards of integrity in government.

The Division includes several components; among them are the Bureau of Investigations, the Office of Investigative Counsel, and the Office of Internal Audit. Staffed by experienced former law enforcement personnel, including former prosecutors and local, state and federal investigators, as well as attorneys and investigative auditors, the Division staff conducts fraud investigations and also serves as the OSC liaison to local, State and Federal law enforcement agencies on matters of mutual interest and concern. The Deputy Comptroller for Investigations establishes goals and priorities, and is charged with overall supervision of the Division.

The Division receives complaints from a variety of sources. Some come in directly to the Division, either through the complaint form from the Division’s Internet site, or by mail or telephone. The Division receives referrals from both internal and external sources. Internal referrals include issues that have been identified during an audit, potentially fraudulent claims of abandoned property, allegations of procurement or contract fraud, pension fraud and vendors who may be determined to be non-responsible. External referrals are received from outside sources, including other government agencies or municipalities, law enforcement entities, government officials, public officials and private citizens. The Investigations Division works closely with other OSC divisions toward the goal of detecting and exposing potential misuse of public funds. In partnership with our divisions of State Services, Budget and Policy Analysis, Pension Investment, Retirement Services, Intergovernmental Affairs, Administration, Payroll and Revenue Services and Local Government Services and Economic Development, the Division utilizes its investigative tools and experience to provide additional support in achieving this goal.

The Division also conducts independent investigations of fraud and corruption allegations, many of which come from outside sources. Division personnel also work closely with Districts Attorney throughout the state, the New York State Attorney General, United States Attorneys, and other law enforcement agencies in matters of mutual interest.

The more taxpayers that call or write the better chance we have to get control of our town.

Angry You're all going to love this one!

Just went on the WS web site, and these crooks didn't change the date of the budget meeting, they just moved it up to 5 PM!

They know that the majority of the residents are just getting home from or out of work. Are these people for real?

    what did you expect

Business as usual for these scumbags.
Bove should stand up and start acting like she cares about WS and not just collecting her paycheck. What she should remember is that she is the next to come up for re-election.
The FBI has a real good idea where the computers that were at the FATMANS
campaign headquarters came from and we can only hope that they arrest him
and T.C. before this joke of a budget get released.

Wouldn't be the first time she stood for something then switched.

I see Vince Graber finally grew a set, after almost 12 yrs.

As reported in last weeks West Seneca Bee, he actually stood up and took notice of something going on. He opposed Bove's attempt to hand substantially more taxpayer money for town phone service to another company for providing the same service. That has a very Clark-like appearance yet came from Bove. Then again if it was Clark at the forefront pushing it, I doubt Graber flinches.

There has been a few instances where Bove quietly fattened or attempted to fatten a few of her cats with town business.

I do thank Graber for further exposing her.

They both should be worried about their council seat in two years.

Who is going to win the Council seats?

I haven't seen a damn thing from Hicks. He must have given up hope because of his dismal showing in the primary.

Wirth?...He's simply riding on Sandra's coat tails. Hell, even his advertisement in the pennysaver (or Bee) mentioned Sandra while completely skipping over anything he can bring to the table.
Osmanski?...I would hope that his past uselessness and relationship to Greenan et al would sink him
Meegan?...She cleaned up in the primary, but is that enough?
Clarke?...Bove's doing every thing she can to get him in, but why? Is she looking to have a lackey?

I want either Wirth, Meegan, or Clarke to take the seats. It seems as though the three of them want to rock the boat. Hopefully the one that doesn't make it will run again in 2 years. That place needs a wholesale change.

Tina Bove and those around her need to be scrutinized much more closely. After she lost in Sept. Tina is really starting to show her true colors (at 60, it isn't blonde ) quite bitter and yet, never been more full of herself. Again, very Paul Clark-like.

I doubt he's capable of it, but in order for Dale Clarke to be effective and an asset to this town if elected, he best learn to cut the apron strings to Bove.

Meegan and Wirth are beholden to no one and can think on their own two feet.

I will concur any of the three over Osmanski.
