Mark Poloncarz For Erie County Executive?

The 2012 race for Erie County Executive is finally underway. Earlier today, before a throng of supporters in his hometown of Lackawanna, Erie County Comptroller Mark Poloncarz formally announced his candidacy for the office. He’ll face King Chris Collins in the general election in November.
    Go read it
Mark Poloncarz For Erie County Executive

    He makes no sense.

“Six years ago, at the height of the worst fiscal crisis this community had ever seen, you gave me the privilege to serve as your independent taxpayer watchdog. Although those were dark days, with a lot of hard work, we were able to bring Erie County back from the brink. However, the mistakes that created the ‘Red-Green’ budget crisis are being made once again by a county executive who cares more about getting himself re-elected than serving the people of Erie County.”
Does he realize who has been the County Executive since the last election?

    Poloncarz and Unions

If Poloncarz was CE, the only things for sure would be outrageous new union contracts, no county surplus, and higher taxes. I will never vote for someone like Poloncarz who wants to go back to the old days of union giveaways and irresponsible government.

Maybe he can save what's left of the libraries. Collins wants to turn the downtown library into a banquet hall...and you'll pay for it!

So it will still be a library? Yes

If I remember correctly there were supporters that wanted a coffee shop at the library. Now that Collins mentions it you guys are against it? It's funny how people will change their mind just to spread bull****.

turning the second floor into conference space and community space does not mean collins wants to replace the library with a conference room.

Actually, isn't the second floor used for meeting rooms already today? It sounds like he just wants to update it so it can be profitable.
