    Real political intrigue

Wow. Certain Democrats are really getting desperate. You want political intrigue Scooter? How about this one: One of Sorrentino's political hacks working in town hall tried to cite Tom Best within an imaginary law because Sorrentino didn't like the fact that Best has a trailer parked next to Pegasus Restaurant. Turns out Best called him on it though and really ripped into him. As of now, the trailer stands and it looks great! With all of that fair traffic, he's really getting his name and face out there. Smart move.

Problem is it is not a trailer. It is a panel truck. The problem: you can drive it around town

Is this a problem though? Why did the building inspector say he had to move it? My understanding is there was no merit to the inspector's claim and that is why he backed down when Best called him on his bluff.

Truck was definitely parked legally. Same guy is usually responsible for removing campaign signs from the rights of way (and other places). The problem is for the dems. Mobile billboard.

When you say other places, surely you don't mean private property.

The Triumverate is together again! Three cheers for the three musketeers!

Why don't the Democrats just get their own trailer?

They have one. They have all been living in it for years.

    That is witty.

You know what they say. If I don't die by Thursday I'll be roaring Friday night. We live to fight another day.

You can always count on PJ for a good one liner.

Here's a true story: I witnessed a sign stealer first-hand in the '05 election. I had always heard the lore of sign stealers, but never witnessed one. Driving up Pleasant Avenue when I see a tall older man (in his 60s) quickly pull his car to the side of the road, jump out, pull a Janet Schumer sign (of all signs) and throw it in his trunk. He then sped off. So naturally I turned around and tried to follow him, but I lost him. My jaw dropped though, seeing this grandfatherly-type jump out, pull a sign and speed off. Maybe it was the inspector we're discussing.

At least he took the right sign. He should be praised.

That's weird. Janet Schumer. It could be a number of people.

I found it odd, too. I wonder if he panicked. It was in a spot where there were multiple political signs (at the fork by Pleasant and E. Pleasant). He was so fast, it's possible he grabbed the wrong sign. Hers was next to a Walters sign.

In the vein of political intrigue... anyone wondering how Ford Beckwith and Lysle Obad are going to do in their primary against Smith and Gugliuzza for the Independence line? I read Ford's letter in the Sun. I'll be curious to see the ramifications if the real Independence party wins the primary, and not the Democrats. I mean, if Smith loses the primary, will he just go to Tony Orsini and ask him to switch it, like he did with Billy Delmont when he had lost the Conservative endorsement? I mean, that seems to be the modus operandi with those people...
