You have got to be kidding me! That is your answer? Really? You don't even direct your answer to the person asking in the first place. Like you said, same as the person before....then tell me why does the Lackawanna School Board make themselves look so STUPID as to not include everything that the person before was receiving in the first resolution dated December 2010? Were they NOT familiar with what the other person was receiving when they decided to appoint Mr. Friend in December, effective for January 1, 2011 or did they just conveniently forget to include it?

Here, let me help the school save some money.....I'll do the job for FREE, with NO paid duty-free recess in accordance with the school calendar, and ZERO (0) paid sick day per month which I will NOT carry over to the next school year, and ZERO (0) non-accumulative paid personal days per year. I will NOT be covered by Social Security and the Employees’ Retirement System or any health insurance benefits. I will do this job while doing my OWN morning routine!!

Here is what I know SO FAR….

    The “other” person

0 sick days per 10 month period
1 personal day per 10 month period
6 Paid holidays ( News Years, Martin Luther, Easter, Memorial Day, Thanksgiving and Xmas)

    Mr. Friend
1 sick day per month = 10 per 10 month period
2 personal days per 10 month period
    Holidays- ??

I also know that Mrs. Friend thinks that this job takes up a lot of time, so my next bet will be that this will soon become a full-time position. I sure hope all the paperwork that goes with this job is being done effectively and efficiently – could cause for many grievances.

I like how you shifted my points to someone else....You know what lackawanna #1, I will go ask to see EXACTLY what the "other" person was receiving prior to her dismissal seeing how I asked the question not mnb. See you in the halls in the AM.

Not exactly running anywhere Lack....actually, I have been waiting for you....

I reviewed the Lackawanna Competitive Educational Secretaries Contract....did NOT find anywhere in the Contract where it states "paid duty-free recess in accordance with the school calendar" - however I did find that 10 month employees shall be off the Christmas and Easter recesses as the students' calendar dictates - but it does not say PAID as they gave to Mr. Friend.

I also filed a FOIL request and will compare the benefits or lack of on the "other" person and Mr. Friend.

Hope you have fun in the sun.....Lackawanna will be a better place without you for a while.

BTW- you can find the Contract online!!

You can review anything you want it is board appointed, you act like you are in charge, you ran and lost, but the good thing is there are 3 seats open this may, so you better get going and this time put a little effort into it just maybe you can win.....Ha ha ha.....Oh ya how did you get your city job?????Not politics... right....Ha ha ha....And when your father ran local 2022 how did it happen that your brothers got all the work.....Not political right....ha ha ha ....i am sure if you r offering to do mr. friends job for free he would even train you why dont you give him a call.Have a great day...

You just showed how STUPID you really are....my father didn't RUN anything...did yours? Ohh...he was a sweeper wasn't he??? Union.....that's how my brothers got work....union workers.

I don't act like I am "in charge" of anything....the secretaries have to bargain for their contracts and the board just "gives" what they fight for to anyone they please. Why doesn't the board come up with a Non-Bargaining Agreement for their appointments?

How did I get my city job? My girlfriend was working in the Department of Development and was quitting - she called me and asked if I wanted the job. Went on an interview and received the job.

Don't think I would need over a week + of training for Mr. Friend's job....maybe I will talk to Mr. Korach about obtaining his "recommendation"!!

The day will be great when you stop talking out of your A$# - wanna be!

Like I said if you think it is so easy call Mr. Friend and i am sure he will have no problem letting you do the job that you think is so easy that you will do for free because you talk like you know everything and can act like you are in charge. This sight is a joke w/ all you people who think u can run everything better like i said before 3 seats open on school board, 2 open soon on city council and last but least mayor. You and all your croonies on here run and we will see......Ha ha ha.....Like i said going into the sun have fun acting like you are some big shot........

I don't have to call Mr. Friend to follow a list...kinda like the union hall does when my brothers worked. Where did I state that I was in charge of anything?

From what I am hearing, Mr. Friend can't "handle" the job! HA HA HA!! Did you happen to read through the Contract and see the differences from what Camille received as to what Kenny is receiving???? You know the stuff you blame Patti Bryniarski for? It is NOT the same....your boy toy John and company are stepping on members who have to fight for their benefits....are they receiving PAID duty free weeks as 10 month employees??? Contract does not state paid duty free....I would imagine they will be filing grievances. Like I said know it all...why doesn't the Board have a non bargaining agreement and then they can "set' the rules as they see fit. YOU ARE THE ONE THAT SAID KEN FRIEND IS GETTING THE SAME BENEFITS AS THE OTHER PERSON RECEIVED....You are a LIAR!

Another little bit for you to chomp on....old board hires an entire law firm that specializes in education law for $185 an hour....whole law firm who the new board fires because they needed to get their friend back on the payroll yet they hire an attorney from Webster Szanyi for the same amount.....ohhhh, I know....friend of Carl Morgan....that makes it all ok right?

Lackawanna #1, you are nothing but a little patsy! How does it feel to kiss so much A%$ that you can't even find your own head....little brown nose patsy!! But then again, I guess that's how you keep your job. Here are YOUR words Lack.....

You might want to check your facts, I believe hes entitled to the exact pay and benies the person before him was. I think the problem lies within who got the job!

Get your facts straight....Now go lay down!!

    Sub-Registry Clerk

Correct me if I'm wrong, but the purpose of the Sub-Registry Clerk is to fill vacancies for teachers who call in sick the morning of a particular school day...so why would that position need to be paid for holidays? The school isn't even open on holidays.

Why do you even need this position to begin with? When you call off from work does your boss have a registry clerk to help him decide who to call in? No wonder why school budgets are so high and taxes keep rising. Using the excuse of "well that's the way we always done it" is a thing of the past time to get rid of patronage and "pork" in school budgets.

This is a big job. You might be surprised to know how many employees call off each day, go to worskops etc. No boss would want to deal with this at 5 AM. Subs have certain legal entitlements after working a certain number of days. There is a lot of recordkeeping.....

Not to be a smart a**, but for principals and superintendents all well over $100k per year, shouldn't be too much to ask.
