Buffalo, NY (WBEN) - Erie County's primary election ballots may have to be on paper, instead of in the more traditonal voting booth.

The Board Of Elections says their current machines have been ruled illegal, as part of an upgrade to new technology, but the replacement machines are not yet certified for use.

Speaking on WBEN's politics program, "Hardline with Hardwick," Sunday, elections commissioner Ralph Mohr said paper ballots are the only legal alternative unless the state rescinds the earlier law making current machines un-usable.

good. all elections should be on paper ballots.
One beautiful thing about having a government of the corporations, by the corporations, and for the corporations is that every disaster is measured in terms of economic loss. It's sort of like getting your arm sheared off in a car accident and thinking, "Damn, now it'll take longer to fold the laundry" as blood spurts from your arteries. - The Rude Pundit

No tax funded patronage job, not running for Office , I speak for myself.
When will voters out number tax funded employees at the polls?

Who deemed them illegal? The lobbyist who represent the "new voting booth" company?

    What is illegal about them?

I would say just use them
