    Morgan Collection

Today, I started my Morgan Collection and picked up a 1890 AU +. I had a few other Morgan's but did nothing with them I had other collections to complete, now I am ready to complete the Morgan's. My main focus is on EX Fine to AU a nice comfortable grade range to begin the collection with. When opportunity arise I can always buy up to a better grade.

Thumbs up Morgans are always fun

Nice coinage those Morgans! Does it have a mint mark ? How intense do you look at your coins - do you look for clashing or die breaks - or just enjoy finishing a nice set?

    Cool

Maybe you can share some insights as to what you look for, why and show others how to inspect their own coins?

I can always use some insight - never to old to learn and always hoping to increase my horizons. I learn from dealers, collectors and actually a refiner. Everyone has their own reasons and purpose for collecting things.

    Thanks

Talking How would you grade these ?

Not sure if I did this correct - this is a 1921 Morgan Silver Dollar. I believe you can click on the picture of the attachment to enlarge it.

Not bad for almost 90 years old - ?????????

    !

Hard to tell from a pic but it looks nice, seems to still have luster, a few bag marks, can't tell anything else pics take away from what the scope will show.

    Thanks

Its one I recently purchased. I am doing a catalog of a collection for a friend. Mainly Penny's, nickels, half dimes, 3 cents and such. He had about four Morgans so I bought them.

Seems like many people - he's selling the silver - buying Gold and completing his copper collection. Who knows - everyone has a different view about collecting.

I am learning more every day. I wish I had listened to my uncle when I was a kid. Its all good - better late than never.

    Merry Christmas to All!
