Is Palidano Fit To Run NY State?

I was talking politics with a friend this weekend and he made a profound statement. The talk lead to my question in the title. The statement was: "NY does not need someone to run NY, we need someone that will tear down what we have, build a solid foundation for something new - then the leader comes in.

I believe Carol Paladino is just what we need right now in Albany. Some one to expose the criminals and frauds for what they are - con men and thieves stealing our hard earned funds. He is perfect for the job - VOTE PALADINO if you have even the slightest care for NY, Vote Cuomo if you care for high pay low work government jobs, outrageous stubborn unions, layers upon layers of government for the sole purpose of paying back political favors and on and on the list goes and it ends with a broken school system that is literally rapping the people.

So tell me Frankie... Would you support Paladino if everything else about him was the same but instead of being an adulterer, he was openly gay?

What we have with the Paladino and Edwards is a solid team. Paladino and Edwards, in terms of personality and political experience are worlds apart. Paladino, as we know, has no political experience, is not politically correct, says what he feels and is running for governor to fix the state. On the contrary, Edwards, in terms of personality, has all the right traits. People gravitate to him. He is diplomatic, has the experience of cutting expenses, holding taxes (for 4 straight years), knows the ropes in politics, and is still building his political career.

Let's not be fooled. Paladino and Edwards are going to be working closely together during their administration. As a team, they will bring order to this state.

When was the last time NY elected a competant governor? It's been many years.

Spitzer? LOL, you mean client 9?

Paterson? LOL, the blind leading the blind... to a 10% approval rating?
At least if Obama gets re-elected in 2012, he can just blame everything on the President of the past four years.

When are the 'blind' comments going to stop? It's childish and unnecessary.

Paterson is the MOST competent governor we've had in DECADES. His low approval rating is due to the legislature's unwillingness to work with anything he puts forth. His status as a lame-duck means he can make the hard decisions without fear of retribution. It's too bad the leg can't say the same thing.

Please spare us the hysterics. Wait - it may be true, now that real speaks to the stupidity or corruption of the majority in NY State; and that my friends is part of what we need to send Paladino to Albany to tear down.

I agree. The sad part is that the die-hard Dems in this state would have re-elected had to chose to run again... just because of the "D" next to his name.

    This state is pathetic.

So tell us Frank, what is it about being gay that is so much worse than being an adulterer that -- all other things being equal -- you wholeheartedly support the adulterer but wouldn't if he were gay?

Simple answer on my part and has nothing to do with the degree of wrongness - as you color it. One issue has been forgiven the other would be current.
