DA won't explain plea in DWI case
Read the Full Story Buffalo NewsThe Niagara County district attorney and one of his deputies will not explain why they allowed the daughter of a city councilwoman to plead guilty to vastly reduced charges after being charged with driving while intoxicated earlier this month.
Why wouldn't it be warranted?The section says the district attorney must determine that "the charge of a violation of this [DWI] section is not warranted."

Funny...also in Niagara County. The difference being an injury accident as opposed to just a property damage.

This happened to someone I know once, She was driving down Elmwood Ave. A car crossed the center line and hit her head on smashing her front end, windshield, causing her airbag to go off . She had a shoulder injury and a few cuts and bruises. The person driving got out and was trying to apologize to her, people who saw the accident said he smelled and looked drunk. This man got on his cell phone and within a few minutes after the Police arrived and were well into doing a sobriety test on him. A big dark car pulled up with tinted windows. A tall man dressed in a suit and long black raincoat, wispered something to the officer and they let the man get in this dark car and drive away.
There was alot of yelling and angry screaming from the person who was injured and her husband had showed up by then and when he questioned why this guy was not being arrested for DWI he was told to shut up and leave before we arrest you!
This just happened 2 years ago.. She never got reimbursed for her damages. Insurance said she was at fault. Who knows "Who" that guy was,but the men in black came to his rescue in a big fat hurry.

So now that the Big Brother appears to be in the middle of a controversial issue, what does this mean for his "little" brother who seems to be running for State Supreme Court... all on the coattails of his "big" brother's name and position? Does the apple fall far from the tree and how can anyone put their trust and confidence in someone that appears to be unethical in his dealings?
Wojtaszek is a lawyer.. I dealt with Wojtaszek yrs ago in other matters. You do the best for your client.. right or wrong.. Was it shady?.. Maybe on the girl's mom..
Wojtaszek is a great guy.. Military Jag Officer. I have a lot of respect for him.
I don't know anything about his brother and we can not be held accountable for other family's actions anyway. I glad he is not an extreme right wing Republican

I believe both Wojtaszek brothers are Republican. Am I mistaken? I'm just saying it appears to be politics as usual! Shouldn't judicial candidates stay away from the politics!
I only know Henry Wojtaszek. Henry is a Republican. From what I read, he is getting more involved in gov't contacts and lobbying..
I don't know his brother. A sitting judge can't get involved in politics unless he is running for re-election.

She should have gotten an attorney.Insurance companies are like divorces, only a retard deals with them with out an attorney.

He may have been doing his job and representing his client but would another attorney, in the same situation, get the same results without being the former Niagara County GOP Chairman?
