No different than people doing their best to paint the entire Tea Party movement as "racists".

I don't think anyone here is trying to paint the whole of the Tea Part as racist. just the most vocal, and the larger organizers.

And, it's been pointed out, that the tea party refuses to disavow the people who are blatantly racist. Like Carl Paladino

Those few racists that might show up at a rally are USA citizens who are also sick of the wasteful spending and the "generosity" the elected officials have given to our employees and themselves in some cases.

Don't confuse the "purpose" of the movement I guess I'm saying. The movement isn't about black or white, it's more about spending, accountability and that our government is just too large. You can eliminate whole departments and not even have it effect anything. So why even have them.

I don't care if carl is racist or not. We are not sending him to office to deal with race type issues. It's all about money and we are sending him to albany to clean up bull****. So far, somewhat unpolished, carl is gonna be in the primary against Lazio. The guy went and got 1000's of signatures.. Good job.

Lets say it happens and carl is the republican candidate. Who are you going to get behind.. one of our community's own? or some guy from the other side of the state who's father was involved in creating the amount of welfare we have in NYS? Along with Andy and the hud stuff. Plus what has andy really done? Start listing it out...

I wonder who lenny Lenihan and our other political party bosses are going to endorse if Carl beats Lazio? One of own from our community or some guy from the NYC area.

So, where was this "tea party" when the worst atrocities at senseless spending were occurring: GW Bush era.

There's one difference between now and then: It's now a black man in office.

Now I see where your coming from. People started to wake up during the bush era and the movement is growing. bush didn't curb spending and lately the governments are making an art of out spending without any consideration for the non-government laborer/non-government business owner.

Exactly. Many who follow the Tea Party see that Bush's socialist policies were also bad for America. Then America gets even worse with Barack Obama. I think most of the tea partiers initially are right of center because of the lefts love affair with Obama, but now many leftists are joining the ranks as well as his rating plunges.

No its OBAMACARE. It will actually make your insurence skyrocket. He even admits it. Freehandouts for everyone but the working man.

If your talking about spending money on the wars you take all that away and really watch the economy crash. Hate to bust your bubble but its true.

What's really funny is when you have the conservatives who talk about good "character" being a necessity for those who hold public office, then they'll elect a guy like Palomino even though he's a racist bastard who gets off on watching women bang horses.

Actually the Tea Party was created during 2007 by the followers of Ron Paul, but don't let a thing like facts get in your way!

Says who? I'm not happy with how the state is being ran. I'm also pretty upset with the errors of the Obama administration, too.

However, I am not so unhappy with them, that I would support a group who refuses to denounce racism in their movement.

I am not so unhappy, that I would work to get a person into a gubernatorial position who (From past track record) will only do what benefits him.

so do you agree with the NAACP

[QUOTE=NBuffaloResident;661399] However, I am not so unhappy with them, that I would support a group who refuses to denounce racism in their movement.

the NAACP name is racist do you support them. they only allow blacks into their organization.do you support that. everything they do is to promote their race over all others do you support that,
I find it very hard to take anything the NAACP says about racism as real. yes they have had a few racist show up at tea party .Just like every other public meeting does.
now as to religions yes members of some religions do "bad things" but when the leaders openly promote violence against other religions that opens a whole new page.
Don't judge someone just because they sin differently than you

Byrd got his name affixed to the only place it ever belonged - his tombstone.

It's ashame I have to be reminded of this douchebag every time I vacation in West-By-God-Virginia. It's close to heaven otherwise.

    Sorry to go off topic.
