new UR Clinical & Translational Sciences Building

Rendering of new UR Clinical & Translational Sciences Building (see attachment) is going to add 600 jobs to Rochesters economy...and why isnt something being done for Clinical and Translational Sciences in Buffalo. UB has better and bigger Medical, Dental and Biological Sciences programs than UR.

1200 new jobs announced in Rochester....and Buffalo is announcing 10 and 20 at a time

"Bottom line, there has been over 1200 new jobs announced in the last week, that's pretty exciting. Don't know how this will all shake out long term, but something has to be going pretty well for all these jobs to be announced.

Also does anyone else see Rochester becoming more and more of a player in the national health-care scene. Carestream, URMC, B&L, Coopervision, and Johnson&Johnson are all located here in town, and it seems to becoming our signature business recently. I also see two distinct parts of the city opening up here, there is Downtown Rochester, and the University of Rochester Medical Center. Hopefully we see high-rise type development at URMC in the near future, it already stands anywhere from 8-14 floors depending on which building you are in, and is certainly gaining "girth" with each of these seperate announcments."

    Why not Buffalo?

Certainly, Rochester has become a big player in the health care scene. As has Buffalo, so:

    "Why not Buffalo," what?

new UR Clinical Sciences Center....check my original post if you had read my original post you would have understood what my point was...

We should have our own Clinical Sciences Center with 600 jobs too and we should be bringing major Fortune 500 companies here not not just companies with 10 to 20 people.
