The office should be respected. There's plenty of us, myself included, who can differentiate between the man and the office. I hated Bush and I thought was disrespectful when that girls team who won a national championship wore flipflops to meet him.

What she said was funny but it was also disrespectful.

The respect you are speaking of is the respect that the OFFICE has lost with the American people all on its own. As for Fun?? Why would it be proper to hit on a married man who just so happens to be The President. In front of the media and whole Country??
When someone is speaking as a representative of our City I would hope she would have a little class... she sounded like a horney cougar.

I heard when told Michelle would be watching, Luann said Michelle's "gonna have to deal with it."
Michelle's got a sense of humor (as does Luann) and Barack is a family man who enjoys a good laugh.
It sure beats the alternative doesn't it? I'm happy everyone behaved.

I spoke to a man today who (although outspoken anti-Obama) was thrilled to see him and hear him speak. Good vibes.

I saw a bunch of little kids waiting for the motorcade on Oak Street yesterday -- they were from a Charter school.
They were chanting his name, and all excited - waving flags and everything.

And, yeah they may have been super excited about him primarily because they were mostly minority kids. But whatever the reason -- it was nice to see young kids so excited about a President.
