Are you talking about the Dale Clarke from the Winchester area who works for the Town?

    Cool

When (if ever) was the last time Ralph Lorigo was denied something he pushed before the Town Board?

    Says a lot, doesn't it?

Not really. My grandfather always said you get back in direct proportion to what you give!

Didn't know Clarke worked for the Town. He's never mentioned that fact to me. Makes me wonder.

    Cool What about the GOP?

We've talked a lot about the Democrats who are running (Bove) or may run (Notaro, etc.) for Supervisor.

    What about the Republicans?

Do they have any candidates? Are there any Republicans left in WS (besides Pat Wisniewski and Ruth Breidenstein) who aren't pals with Clark who will run?

After all, all of the Clark people will be busy working the CE campaign to focus on the Supervisor's race. Makes for a good opportunity for a Republican, or better yet a few Republicans, to run this year.

Or, is there even a GOP party in WS any more?

    Comments, people??

Maybe most republicans moved to other areas of the USA. The controlling political party in NYS put such a strangle hold on the tax payers it's easier to move than remove them. They stacked the laws so against the tax payer it's easier to get rid of **** roaches than entrenched lifer politicians.

I'm not aware of an organized GOP presence in WS. Lorigo runs the conservative party, but I havent heard of west seneca republicans.

I think someone named Wayne Mack ran for councelman on the GOP line as did Kelly Asher

From what I'm told Greenan is republican, but he's been riding PC's tail so long as Town Attorney, that may be open for debate.

We would need a grass roots campaign, that was not reliant on party endorsements. It really doesn't matter what a persons party is , just their moral character. This isn't a national election, so I don't think bad press in the Bee or Penny Saver is an issue. But "da boys" would probably work hard to discredit anyone not in the club, who threatens their lush lives.

    .
Tim Greenan is a Republican, and a "Helluvaguy". Few rate that status.

From my information, their family runs the GOP in WS. As anyone can see, no one outside the family can get elected as a Republican for a real (policy making) job in WS.

But now, reality can set in.

The Dems will all be concentratingon Clark and the CE race, and Wroblewski's challenge to Locklear.

The Greenans will be concentrating on re-electing Chris Osmanski for a fifth term on the Council, so, the time is now.

    Who will run?

Paul Notaro? Maybe, but I think he will (or should) run for Town Justice.

Bove? Her husband is such a p*tz, he will have to hide until November.

Bring in someone new, like Frontera, Dunn, Clarke.

Wayne Mack ran as a Republican, but the Dog Catcher and his Mother got more votes as a "write in" Candidate.

Resurrect someone old, like Mike Harmon, or Eric Paul, who both ran years ago. Do they still live in town?

All I know, is, a change is needed, and the stars are aligning for something special to happen.

    Who will run?

This is a great conversation line. But has anyone reached out to any of the people named as "potential" candidates?

Notaro...you are right, great choice for a Town Justice with one position opening soon.

Bove...she thinks she is the annointed one, but her actions have been few and far between.

Clarke, Dunn or Frontera...has anyone called any of these guys to ask them if they are interested? Clarke may be a lose cannon. Dunn lost a school board election not too long ago and Frontera doesn't have the name recognition, but a veteran is always a good candidate if he is as sharp as you say.

Mike Harmon? Eric Paul...I think his past will be a detractor.

I do agree somehting special needs to happen. Per the constitution we have the right to change our government if it does not work for us and the career politicians DON'T WORK for our town.

    Who will run?

Perhaps we are looking in the wrong direction. Maybe the focus would be better aimed at the open seats for Councilman. If there were voices that were willing to challenge the status quo in the public forum of a TB meeting or other venues that could be created, it may have a greater effect. Hell, give Tina her little moment of glory by being elected. But we can oust the others who sit there smugly going along collecting their 20K per year.

I will admit, I am NOT a fan of Graber, Hicks, or Osmanski. Graber is a little man who wants to be the school yard bully. Hicks will tell you what he thinks you want to hear, and then do what he pleases (mostly nothing). Osmanski.... he just strikes me as several french fries short of a Happy Meal. I believe with Tina running for super, 3 seats will open.
Look at the TB minutes, they're always unanimous.
(I'm sorry, I lived in Amherst before moving to WS. I just don't get it)

Ladies and gentlemen, your thoughts on this idea if you don't mind.

    Cool

For the WS Council, Osmanski and Hicks are up this year. I' sure both will run again.

The GOP will put 100% into Osmanski's race along with the Wisniewski Clerk re-election. People think they are still voting for Hick's Uncle Jerry, who was liked and people actually knew.

Finnegan is up for re-election, but will have no race.

If Bove wins the Supervisor's race, the Dems will control the appointment for her seat. Who will that be? Someone that Clark can control, no doubt.

What does that leave for real people? One Dem. and one GOP endorsement, but the Osmanski and Hicks people will band together and shut out all comers.

Graber? He isn't one one hundreth of the person his Dad is, and some people still think they are voting for Vince Sr.

Wroblewski will run a Primary against Cindy Locklear for the 9th District County Leg. seat. Most Dems. will work for Tim. Who will work for Cindy? She hasn't exactly spent the last two years getting close to any one who can or would help her.

In essence, West Seneca has no two party system. Just one gang with different lines to run on and control.

how true your crystal ball is

Well Big Guy looks like your crystal ball is pretty accurate if that is what we are willing to accept. We have become complacent in our acceptance of the actions of elected officials, career politicians.

Osmanski ran 16 years ago on the platform of change and someone new...looks like he has grown way too accustomed to his 20K...and yes the GOP and his relatives who control it will do everything to keep him in office

Hicks...without a doubt the last original idea from him was actually from his uncle...Yet he considers himself to be among the elite

    Graber...not even worth addressing.

Wroblewski...this is a name that really gives me a laugh...tell me a race that he actually won on his own? show me a position where he was not appointed or annointed to fill. He is a bad choice to run against Locklear, who by the way has done absolutely nothing

But until we are willing to stop being sheep, simple voices on a blog, then we truthfully have no reason to complain. Our complacency has allowed these career politicians to rule from their jesters thrones.
