There are tons of working families party candidates, why did none of them sign?

I would never vote for anyone but Diane Benczkowski because they obviously don't support $15/hr for fast food workers. Please find out the truth from the working families party directly because a lot of votes will be lost if Diane Benczkowski is now flip flopping on the issue because she is afraid of some right wing nut jobs calling her a Socialist. The rest of these candidates should be ashamed for not signing on to support Cheektowaga's hardest working people. Diane, stand up to the right wing nuts and fight harder than ever for $15! We are all counting on you!

Plus I found this:"It is time to move in a new, more progressive direction" It is from something she wrote for the Buffalo News (http://www.buffalonews.com/city-region/2013-candidate-profiles/diane-benczkowski-candidate-for-cheektowaga-town-board-20131022)

What is more Progressive than this?!

And what is with this hearsay "Diane told me she doesn't support it" nonsense?! Its like the old "I heard from a guy who heard from a guy that a guy...." Someone putting their name on a letter is much more true than a third hand story told by someone who is suspiciously acting like Diane's Republican fast food worker hating opponent's family member....

To Unsilent, who said: "Who cares?"

The 3,000+ people who have viewed this discussion, which is more than any other active thread and more than most of the nonsense that is posted on here combined (such as the stuff written in all caps by a clearly intoxicated guy).

Plus all the hard working fast food workers which you clearly can not be!

I misspoke, not Diane. Why don't you ask her if she signed that letter instead of taking the Working Family propaganda at its word?

And how do you know that she signed it (or authorized her name to appear on it)?

Because it is on the internet?

We need Diane to tell us if she authorized her name to appear on that letter and if so does she support what the letter states.

Why are you putting words into people's mouths?

Is this how you, Frank and Alice conduct business?

It's pretty hard to put a three page signed letter in your mouth.

This proves my point, Diane is the one for the job:

    Fight for $15!!!!

Once again - how do you know those are quotes from Diane? If its on the internet do you swallow it? Perhaps you should learn how to spit it out now and then.

I'm too old and have been around the block too many times to believe everything I read on the interwebs, only signed letters and direct quotes.

I remember these days: "Let every nation know, whether it wishes us well or ill, that we shall pay any price, bear any burden, meet any hardship, support any friend, oppose any foe to assure the survival and the success of liberty."-JFK

And i think Benczkowsi is like Kennedy in supporting $15/hr for fast food workers even if right wing nut reactionaries are critical.

So if a 12-year old kid downloads that letter, adds Donald Trump's name to it, then uploads it to a website, you would believe Donald had signed it?

If someone post something in quotes and claims someone else said it, you think it is true?

How do you manage to get through the day without seriously injuring yourself with modern day appliances?

12 year old kids don't care about politics, only us old farts with nothing better to do care.

Mainly I believe that when a politician signs a letter stating what they believe on an issue, that's what they believe on an issue. You are the only trying to lie, insult, and say anything to deny that plain and obvious fact.

I also heard rumor has it online that a group of fast food worker constituents wrote this song about so called , in your words, alleged Socialist Diane "fast food $15" Benczkowski:

    "Oh, oh, oh, oh, oh.
It must have been cold there in my shadow,
to never have sunlight on your face.
You were content to let me shine, that's your way.
You always walked a step behind.

So I was the one with all the glory,
while you were the one with all the strength.
A beautiful face without a name for so long.
A beautiful smile to hide the pain.

Did you ever know that you're my hero,
and everything I would like to be?
I can fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

It might have appeared to go unnoticed,
but I've got it all here in my heart.
I want you to know I know the truth, of course I know it.
I would be nothing without you.

Did you ever know that you're my hero?
    You're everything I wish I could be.
I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Did I ever tell you you're my hero?
You're everything, everything I wish I could be.
Oh, and I, I could fly higher than an eagle,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings,
'cause you are the wind beneath my wings.

Oh, the wind beneath my wings.
You, you, you, you are the wind beneath my wings.
Fly, fly, fly away. You let me fly so high.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.
Oh, you, you, you, the wind beneath my wings.

Fly, fly, fly high against the sky,
so high I almost touch the sky.
    Thank you, thank you,
thank God for you, the wind beneath my wings."

    Or was it Bette Middler...

In other words, even though you don't know if someone signed a letter you'll just keep claiming they signed it.

For all those in favor of this, Start a business. You think you know it all?? Start a small business and pay your people $15 an hour.
Willful ignorance is the downfall of every major empire in history.

If you think you have to pay $15/hr to employees if you start a small business in WNY then you ain't smart enough to be starting a small business. Basically you are an idiot if you think the minimum wage is $15/hr for anyone in WNY.

You all need to be voted off our board. The Cheektowaga Democratic Party has given our town the highest property taxes in the area, has caused 1000's to flee our town and our infrastructure is rather crappy.

I'm also tired of hearing "Look at all the services we provide". All bs. You can go to countless towns throughout the USA that supply the same or more "Services" for far less money with better results.

You are an Alice supporter. I asked Diane and she said she doesn't support $15 an hour. Tonight I'm going to message the facebook link you sent me to ask how to get that flyer changed and to also see who is lying.

Once I find out you'll see I do not play favorites. You can't play favorites because it creates patterns of nepotism. You can't have that when you are representing families, property/business owners.

Alice needs to retire and enjoy her grand children. Our employees tell me she is not at work as much as she should be because she travels. We do not need a part time supervisor.
