Personally I am glad as I am sure you are - that students attend Town Board and BOE meetings. Hopefully some of them will draw the obvious connection between Government/School spending and the effect on taxes.
I and others believe Town Councilman Abraham being a teacher is an obvious conflict of interest. He teaches politics at the High School - he is involved in Town Politics, Town Spending and School issues. I find it hard to believe his need for reelection doesn't come into play with his school work. His life long loyalty to the Dem Committee has to influence his teaching as his loyalty to his enhanced teachers pension has to influence his loyalty to those in his party that support him.
Just doesn't seem right - one issue has to affect the other - money - party loyalty - enhanced pension due to tax funded Town salary - enhanced school pension due to tax funded teachers pay check.!!!!!!!!!!!
Thats my opinion and it seems others agree.
