What is the tax cap rate this year in West Seneca? I see the tentative budget has a rate increase of 2.87%. Is that close to the cap?
A public hearing will be held Monday, October 26, 2015 at 7:00 P.M. to consider proposed Local Law #10 - Tax Levy Limit Override.

it is point 73% http://www.osc.state.ny.us/press/rel...y15/072015.htm
Maybe Supervisor Megan could explain the property tax increase and loss of rebate checks to town residents in the West Seneca Bee.
With 2 out of 3 board members up for re-election this year, you would think the last thing they would do is override the tax cap

Hart is unopposed.

West Seneca is not getting the rebates in 2016 http://www.wben.com/Rebate-Checks-in...in-20/22093612 and now the town wants to take them away for 2017.
The West Seneca Sun reported the public hearing on Meegan's tax increase which will eliminate the rebate to every town resident will be held on 10/26 /15 at 5:30 PM . Meegan attempts on defend the tax increase in the Sun article . Between Meegan,Hart and Henley tax increases are suppose to be good for town taxpayers and the 37 other towns and villages staying under the tax cap and receiving rebates for their residents are bad. Love how West Seneca Politicians think. Show up to the public hearing Monday and let the West Seneca Town Board (Meegan,Hart, and Henley ) know the taxpayers in West Seneca are tired of being one of the highest taxed town . Tell them to vote No, If they ignore the taxpayers feelings let them know on Election Day!
