ASADENA, Calif. – Now that the Fox series “Bones” is nearing the end of its 12-year run, co-star David Boreanaz may have time on his hands to finish a personal project.
Boreanaz, the Buffalo-born son of former “Rocketship 7” host Dave Thomas (now Dave Roberts), told Toronto critic Bill Brioux Wednesday here he is trying to develop a movie centered around the popular children’s program that originally ran on WKBW-TV from 1962-1978.
A good friend of mine, Brioux told me that the subject came up after the end of a press conference here for the conclusion of the “Bones” run.
Brioux, who watched “Promo the Robot,” the cartoons and short programs on “Rocketship 7” as a child growing up in Canada, said he advised Boreanaz he “should do a movie about ‘Rocketship 7.’”
