Why? Do I have to ask every month for a DCO report. The monthly report should be automatic just like the TC report....How about some help here Matt...

so it basically is a report to how many dog pickups there were and if they were found by the owners? How much time would this report take to compile?

I wonder how the information is logged. Not just in Lancaster but any town.

    For the Feb 23rd report

    Complaints or calls received.

Does this include a dead animal on the road? or are the complaints dog related only?

9 redeemed by owners/9 Strays received. So they are 9 for 9? How long will a dog be held before someone says... No one is coming to pick up the dog...

    1 court action.

    200 follow-ups over the 30 day period?

Is there a laptop/computer at the shelter where record of the calls are saved?

500 miles. Are the miles recorded per pickup?

Is that 10 total dogs picked up?

Checks and balances....all jobs require accountability DCO is no exception... the fact that you have dog seizures, court actions, license issues and redemptions plus I'm sure many other duties, I think a monthly report is necessary...

So, what's the issue? The January monthly report was created in February.

I was very pleased to see that the Dog Control department is saving taxpayer money. They are mailing out postcards when it's time for license renewal instead of the renewal application in a #10 envelope saving 12 cents per mailing.
There was 1285 renewal or transfer licenses. $154.20
    Every little bit helps.
