Exactly. I saw an older man holding a sign like that this afternoon at Walden and transit. Nobody was honking or waving. I was thinking are you serious. Smh

Don't be mean. I see where they are coming from. The politically connected and the employees that might be absorbed into another town. Some won't be. But honestly that's life. No different when a business loses an account to another business. I wish I had a monopoly of a service.

Here's the kicker. They are all families and good people. In the end they shop around to get the best price on services they need but will complain if a home says their taxes are too high for the services they receive.

"Join the fun! Make a sign and promote Save Depew to thousands of passing motorists."

This looks like an attempt to make anti-dissolution people feel good. Let's face it, unless the motorists are registered voters who reside within Depew, their support does not count.

Last I heard there were about 700 or so homes with Save the Village Signs. Over 1500 verified voters wanted to bring the subject to a vote. So it will be on Jan 17th. That's where it counts. At the very least, if the vote is for dissolution, it will cause a study to be done. Like Wade, AKA who me in favor of Villages?, Belltramo said, you'll have another chance to vote it down. The onus will be on Pro-bloated village government people (most likely employess of Depew) to get 25% of the voters to agree with shelling out continually increasing amounts to pay for far too many village employees, departments and over priced services.

So, if it makes you feel better go out and wave your signs. Be careful and please dress up to be presentable for the media.
