PalmTree, Why do you have to be so negative about Buffalo? I think its fine that you left and that was probably the right decision for you. However if you ever want the area to turn around you shouldn't talk bad about Buffalo to outsiders. It only helps to perpetuate the decline.

I've actually had some very positive comments from downstaters as of late about Buffalo(which is a huge change from the past). The positive NYT article was a big plus in the P.R. department for Buffalo.

So what if manufacturers are laying off workers in Buffalo. This is something that is happening all over the country not just Buffalo. Besides with the weakening of unions these jobs pay less than they used to and aren't as important to the area's future. The area needs to focus more on start-up entrapeneneurs and white collar jobs, growth in these area's are what is most important.

So unless you are a troll I would suggest that you not post here with your doom and gloom commentary.

Idiots! Every job is important to Buffalo's future!

When they go on state assistance because they cant find a job and your taxes go up because of now the state is providing all those services that they used to purchase with a paycheck....maybe you should stand up and tell them its ok they lost their job because in the scheme of things it didnt pay much and it wasnt really important.

Every job is important, especially when its your job.
