I need a roofer..tear off new and gutters..recommendations?

Ive been getting some estimates for a tear off, new roof and gutters..Approx 29-30sq, walkable ranch hip roof and about 250 lineal feet of gutters. also added venting in soffit. I had a number of what I would consider the "big" roofing companies come through and they averaged around $14K. Any recommendations?

I got estimates from all the big names.. Neth, Stockmohr, Sahlems, Besroi... Sahlem's included the gutters but Besroi was the best price.

No names to suggest but always tell people to purchase several extra stacks of shingles you go with. Had to replace a section and it was impossible to match.

I meant to literally ask for references from the roofer of people who had work done. Don't go on price alone.

Thanks..I didn't get Sahlems ..but did get estimates from the others you mentioned plus kaz, tri town, and davids...waiting on besroi to send estimate. Is that who you hired?

Yes, they've been around as long as I've can remember and I've never heard bad from them. They did a house in my neighborhood with the same exact roof line and did a good job. They also replaced some shingles on my house a few years ago with no issues. I haven't been scheduled for my replacement yet though. Almost all the quotes were in the $8-9500 range with almost the same shingle brands so I went on price. I'm putting GAF Timberline shingles on. Stockmohr was highest, Sahlems was competitive but I felt the gutters were unnecessary for my house so I didn't feel I needed to pay a little more just to get gutters.
