    Firemen's parade

I live on Central Ave between Columbia and Walden. The Fireman's parade consisting of 130+ emergency vehicles starts @6pm from the high school. I have to leave the house at 7:20pm. Should I park on a side street to be able to leave at that time or do you think 1 hour 20 minutes is ample time for that many vehicles to have passed by?

It moves quicker in that section, slows down when it hits downtown. I was disappointed that they shut the sirens off somewhere around Erie Street this year so my kids didnt get to hear them. Last year they stopped at Pleasant. I think next year we'll sit closer to the high school (and our house).

Why do they shut the sirens off?

I thought I heard helicopters flying over at the beginning. I didn't walk outside to see. They make me nervous.

Because of the amount of people downtown and the density of the buildings. Too loud. The chopper lead the parade.

Also would like to thank the classy people in front of Bunny's for leaving their pile of beer cans on the grass.
