Bright sunshine greeted voters in Hamburg today as they went to the polls to decide whether to eliminate two councilmen from the Town Board.
Hamburg is the fifth and largest town to vote this year on downsizing. It also is the first town to open all of its regular polling places. Town officials said early this afternoon that turnout appeared to be light at the 21 polling places, but they expected it to pick up during the dinner hour.
Downsizing advocate Kevin Gaughan and his squad of volunteers spent the morning making a last-minute push to get voters to the polls.
May Lancaster be next!
#Dems play musical chairs + patronage and nepotism = entitlement !
Lancaster's Town Government should be next to downsize.
Our Supervisor has shown his true colors lately! He wants every tax Penny he can get. He feels its his, its just a matter of time!
Downsizing wont save piles of taxes, it will reduce our tax funded life time burden!
Life time tax funded pensions, tax funded benefits will be reduced or eliminated.
We have to change the game - we can no longer point the fingers at the "Party's"
They wont change - taxpayers/Voters must create the change.
