most big box stores use 6 miles as the ideal spacing for their stores. check out walmart tops wegmans home depot and any others you can think of. 6 miles is about the norm between stores

who else is going to pay to refurbish the old strip mall ? I don't like walmarts business practices, but if they are willing to knock down the existing building and put up a new one, let them. This isn't greenspace or anything like that. It is an existing eyesore. Neighbors of the mall knew it was there when the bought their homes, it is nothing new. Just do it.

Will walmarts tax revenue go to build the roads that thier clients will need to shop there? if so and it doesn't cost the hamburg a penny I would say get the building up as fast as possible. There are a lot of minimun wage jobs to be had.

Is there a bus route that goes to that old strip plaza?

build what roads this old mall is on route 20 near camp road these are wide well kept roads that have room for what ever traffic walmart will generate and we did not knock down kmart benderson did and built a new building as ordered by their customer. we will not knock down the plaza either the customer will pay for it all again

from what I understand the present walmart location will become a Sam's club

The present location of Wal Mart will remain vacant for now. A Sam's Club can not open there for the same reason Wal Mart has to move - there is not enough room to expand.

IT would be nice if they acutally did this most of the time. The vacant buildings are just a waste of green space
