So convert the Central Terminal to the new station, place the one above underground or rehab what is currently there?
I caught this back in July.
Underground Amtrak station at Canalside is envisioned to replace current Exchange Street site
http://www.buffalonews.com/feed/unde...-site-20150716A small brick train station under an elevated highway has been downtown Buffalo’s welcome mat to Amtrak riders for decades.
Someday, it could be Canalside.
The Brown administration and Erie Canal Harbor Development Corp. say they are committed to putting a new train station underground, below an undeveloped parcel north of the canal.

Does anyone know which is the busier station, Exchange St or Depew? Just hate to see a bundle spent on rebuilding or moving a station that's hardly used. That said, I've never boarded at Exchange st, only at Depew which is a hole. And it won't matter to me because after my last Amtrak experience I would walk from Boulder to Bermingham before taking the train.
