U.S. Senator Charles Schumer (D. NY) recently introduced in Congress the announced the Border Jobs for Veterans Act. The legislation would require the Department of Defense and the Department of Homeland Security to recruit and expedite the hiring of veterans for positions as U.S. Customs and Border Protection officers.
