    Good reading material... NYS Budget

I found this link in a Yahoo search that would make good reading material.

Lots of charts, Graphs and information about Balancing New York State’s 2003-2004 Budget in an Economically Sensible Manner.

It's a PDF file, a little slow in opening but well worth it.

    It says:

    - Both income and employment growth in New York State were stronger in the economic expansion of the 1980s than in the expansion of the 1990s.

    - In the early 1990s, state aid as a share of all school expenditures declined significantly.

    - Revenue sharing with local governments was cut more than any other state program.

    - As the Governor proposes cuts in Medicaid and more stringent eligibility guidelines for
Family Health Plus, 2.9 million New Yorkers still lack health insurance.

    OMG- this information is endless.
