That is not what you said...but I'll go first anyway...
Many people are unaware of the danger their dog poses to themselves, their family members, and others. The think that because their dog has never bitten anyone it couldn't possibly be a danger to anyone.
As in most cases of general public ignorance, education goes a long way. but rather than simply preaching to people that their dogs are like loaded firearms waiting to cause injury, the best way to teach people about danger is to present real life examples of the danger.
What percentage of the population knows that approximately 1 person dies every week from a dog attack? Or that there are approximately 1,000 emergency room visits everyday for dog bites, and the great majority of victims are children?
Can you imagine the outcry if 1,000 people per day were injured by fisher Price toys?
I handle my dog the same way I handle my firearms - I assume they loaded.
Yet you use a wireless collar....

A wireless collar "disarms" my dog more effectively than a leash.
when I press the warning button, it beeps, warning my dog what might follow if it does not give me its undivided attention.
The look on my dog's face is "don't tase me bro! I've stopped whatever I was doing and I'm paying attention to you!"
Not if the battery fails...
