I am going to assume there are no rodent issues because there is no food source in that building. Plus those homes are using the garbage totes that we paid for eliminating trash as a food source.
It is especially cruel to put a nursing home next to a grave yard.

Can someone get me what the yearly property tax liability is for that piece of property?

What is that piece of property zoned for?

You know what would fit on that piece of property?

That world's largest Sonic burger place.

It would fit right in that spot.

Let us point out the positives of that.

Close walking distance for the homeowners for an awesome burger

The surrounding home owners will feel more secure having their yards lite up at night. Just like the home owners behind the Super Walmart on Walden.

Another positive those home owners would like is their property value would increase. Right? Oh... but seeing while under the leadership of the Cheektowaga Democratic Social Club we pay the highest property taxes in the USA so maybe that is a negative.

Not a negative for the friends and family plan in the Cheektowaga Democratic Social Club. They never met a pay raise they didn't like.

    I got a better idea.

How about if that place is turned into low income section 8/hud apartments?

    Yeah. That would work.

Ask our town board members how hud/section 8 housing effects the work load of our police department.

Does Harlem have a bus route?

How much are they asking for that building? I'm assuming the buyer will have to catch up on the taxes

Or they could just leave it in the condition it was left in by the irresponsible small business person / non-government non-union employee.

Alice and Diane are going to primary right?

I wonder what they think should be done with this property.

Both should write an essay on how they would handle this property and publish in the Bee.

In the end it isn't the controlling political party's property so it would only be a suggestion. Basic codes should be enforced and taxes kept up. I know they are asking $600,000 but what is it assessed at?

Just so we know what someone is dealing with what would the taxes be on a piece of business property valued at $600,000?

What was the last sale price on the property?

What do the home owners around that area think should be done with it?

On facebook I see there are small community meetings. Is this what they discuss?

I know Charley was doing a good job with the banks and vacant building issues.

That is a tough item to keep up with as your town loses population on a regular basis.

Then on top of that you have a weak town board that basically allowed development run random for the last 25 years.

The property at 2754 Harlem has a full market value of $600,000
    Town/county tax $12,774.86
    School tax $10,103.84

Bear in mind the property at 3600 Harlem has had a reduction in its full market value from $568,366 to $120,000

His Polish name? Does he have another one? Who does he think he is William Wilhelm...er Bill DiBlasio, who changed his name to make it more ethnic and politically attractive? And if he forgot where he came from someone should gently remind him. It's sad when someone begins to lose his memory. I was just talking about that very thing with someone from my hometown of... aaaa

I bit my tongue because it wasn't the time or place for a disruption, but I was thinking "F*** you Jim, you are a council person as well - tell us what you are doing about the problem. Maybe you can have one of your buddies that stole our parks department lawn mowers to go over and cut the grass!" but I didn't want to stoop to his level of political dribble at our community meeting. I saw at least one other neighbor roll their eyes the second time he made the comment about Diane. He ended his otherwise good presentation on a bad note with that comment and I think my neighbors were as put off by it as I was.
time and time again i keep hearing of rogoski putting down Diane and he always waits until Diane is not around. doesn't he realize this only makes him look bad and bring out his insecurities?

Why would Jim lets say support Alice over Diane?

Would Alice turn a blind eye to issues happening in our town?
