West Seneca considers sharing an assessor

"By Mary Pasciak Bufnews(BN):

BN: "That setup would save West Seneca as much as $140,000 a year, West Seneca Supervisor Wallace."-

Where, where is the $140,000 a year coming from? Shell game using tax dollars! This is no “Consolidation of Services” , this is not “Regionalism”-
Is Supervisor Wallace counting on the $7.00 per lot and $5.00 a year there after from the "State"?

The State gets that money from wage earners and home owners taxes. So what Mr.Wallace is saying is, The Town Government will get paid by the "State Government" to raise your taxes.

Residents pay more, local government gets to spend more and Lancaster's Assessor gets a raise and a better benefits package(more tax dollars).

BN: C. Piotrowski has said. He has already incorporated those savings into his proposed budget for next year.They haven't even proved its worth and he is so sure they can do what they want – he already figured it into the Towns Budget!?!

Then show how or where it will stabilize taxes or lower them. Ain't gonna happen!-

As far as the Lancaster Assessors qualifications, he has little to none. He is a “Loyal Patronage Employee” of the Town of Lancaster though! - He is definitely entrenched in the Lancaster Democratic Committee and he visited with Erie County’s assessor (Also big Committee Dem).

When he was being appointed to Lancaster's Assessors job the County guy(who's not a licensed teacher) said, ”He has spent time with me and he learns quick.”

BN:"If West Seneca decides to share Marrano’s services, one option would be for West Seneca to move to 100 percent value(Taxes go up), as well, state officials said. That would be possible in 2011, at the earliest.

-Mr.David Marrano said, when asked about his job,“My job is to spread the wealth, to make sure no one’s paying too much or too little,"
- In Lancaster he said,"We serve those who support us."

The majority of tax stabilization and reductions went to commercial property in Lancaster.
