Although his death should come as no surprise, it still shocked me.
He played me in the movie, 'Roadhouse.'
RIP Patrick.

Dancing, romance and action; all part of the film career of Patrick Swazye.
Whether it was a 'chick flick' or a tough guy action movie, Patrick Swayze was one of Hollywood's most popular stars through the 80's and 90's.
The Houston native's first major film role came in 1983. "The Outsiders" featured Swayze, alongside several other soon-to-be star actors, including Tom Cruise. But it was 1987, when Swayze's career exploded.
"Dirty Dancing" became an unexpected box office smash. Swayze drew upon his childhood dance training to play a lovestruck Catskills dance instructor.
A year later, Swayze struck box office gold once again. He starred with Demi Moore in the otherwordly love story, "Ghost".
It was a role that led one magazine to dub Swayze "Sexiest Man Alive".
In March of 2007, Swayze was diagnosed with stage four pancreatic cancer. Despite that news, Swayze followed through with plans to star in a new cable tv police drama, "The Beast". And while his cancer battle may be fans' final memory of Patrick Swayze, the lasting ones are likely to be of a light on his feet dance instructor and of a man whose love endured, even in the after life.

Nobody puts baby in the corner..
“Two percent of the people think; three percent of the people think they think; and ninety-five percent of the people would rather die than think.”
He fought hard 20 months. RIP
God must love stupid people; He made so many
Jeez, those end of the year "People who died" TV segments are gonna be long this year.
(speaking of "people who died," yeah, I know - he died too)
Good luck in the next world, Patrick - you seemed like an alright dude.
One of the funniest sketches of SNL was with Chris Farley as Chippendale dancers.
yet Abe Vigoda lives,,,,I think,
anyway usually the mean survival time of pancreatic cancer is just a few months past diagnosis.
.
I thought he was a great actor
Randy Pausch had pancreatic cancer. His "Last Lecture" book (and real lecture which you can see on youtube) were inspiring.
I wonder if we will live long enough to see a cure for cancer.
88 and still kicking!

Very sad.
Pancreatic Cancer's more common in smokers but Swayze seemed to have led a full life.
Even heard people mumble that Swayze used steroids and that led to his cancer.
Brought a lot of people great entertainment.
Hope he's at peace.
Coincidence is the word we use when we can't see the levers and pulleys.
