This isn't about Officer Krug alone - its an aggressive culture within law enforcement Nationwide.

Its about a system that allows and covers abuse of authority.

Yes, Police have a some times dangerous job - they watch each others backs. But that has transformed into the majority turning a blind eye to the minority bad actors. That's where it went wrong - if you truly cared about your partner youd help him/her get help for their anger issues.

If you keep covering a alcoholic - he will just keep drinking until he's dead. The only question is - will he/she take you with him when he falls. Is that being a stand up guy - or being a enabler ?

There are many - many officers who have gained true respect by being patent and fair ! They find themselves in much less personal danger and enjoy much better interactions with tax payers and their own families.

The old saying is still valid - "If your not part of the cure - you are part of the disease "

PS - if Officer Krug didn't put that guy down on the ground in the first place - he wouldn't of had to even worry about where the victims feet were - while the Officer clubbed him !
