Agree with the Citizens Salary Review Commission’s recommendation to raise salaries?

Do you agree with the Citizens Salary Review Commission’s recommendation to raise elected officials salaries?

They are taking a poll on the erie.gov website.

Yes, give them a one-year based raise. Maybe 2% over what they make now.

It is insane to give a person elected a year or two ago a raise based on the past 18 years - they haven't been in the job the past 16 years - the raise should be from no longer than when they took office at the most, but given the economic times, it should be based on just a one-year increase.

At most, the only relevant figure for a raise is the pay at the time the person took the job, not whatever happen before that date.

No raises. Think about it. They are paid more than enough when you review the take home/health coverage/pension payout that is currently being paid. There are no qualifications for these positions other than one more vote than someone else.

I believe congressmen are over paid. There are no qualifications for these positions other than one more vote than someone else.
