Who monitors our tax funded Party Players ?

Councilwoman claims political figure padded his state pension

If Lancaster ever audited the use of its tax funded vehicles, cell phones and actual work done on over time or regular hours - I bet Mr.Max's phone number would show up in the records of our recently resigned Parks Boss's records - along with many more numbers of the "who's who" in the Dem World !

CHEEKTOWAGA, N.Y. (WIVB) – Cheektowaga Councilwoman Diane Benczkowski says she has evidence that the former head of sanitation for the town may have falsified overtime to pad his state pension.
She wants well known political figure Frank Max to be investigated by the Erie County District Attorney’s Office. Max has just retired as General Foreman for Sanitation. His ending salary was more than $91,000.
“Mr. Max was not working those extra hours he said he put in for,” said Benczkowski. She tells News 4 she had hired a private investigator.
Benczkowski believes a county investigation could find that Max was stealing overtime, falsifying payroll sheets, and padding his New York State pension.

“I had observed Mr. Max throughout the summer,” she said, “and there were times we had found him doing political business on overtime.”(Over time - regular time - its all tax funded hours and creates a base for their tax funded pensions and benefits - it shouldn't be done on our time.)

Max declined an on-camera interview, but called the allegations “nonsense.” He said they were untrue and politically motivated.

Yet we have phone records on town owned communication equipment that frankly look like a "who's who" list in the Erie County Democratic Party.

Took Ted Morton and crew to take the time and FOIL those records. Good Job.

So does anyone actually believe our Party Picked DA will investigate some thing that could bite him or his party on the arse ?

Time will tell if he's a honest DA or just another Party Clone.

I like that a lot. That is a process that has certainly not been followed in Lancaster. In fact, up to two years ago it was a one party run town since 1996 and where some town board members have 18 and 10 years on the job. In fact, it is still a one party run town as the town board is controlled by a 4-1 party majority.

And with rare exception, and unless you promised to be a loyal soldier for the DEM Party, one did not get an appointed position in the town. As such the planning and zoning boards took direction from the party hierarchy and rubber stamped what needed to be done.

Some things have changed in town under the direction of Republican Supervisor Dino Fudoli, but developers still rule and dumb growth takes place.

Rezones and rezones of rezones still occur in a town where roads are overburdened, valuable and functional wetlands have been disturbed and/or destroyed for the sake of more developer profit and town revenue, etc., and where the new mantra is market demands is often used to justify development over environmental impacts - and where the town sees no potential impacts at SEQR time.

Incumbency holds too much potential for evil to develop compared to the benefits that experience offers. However, I'm opposed to term limits. I think we the people should chase out every incumbent with our vote. That could become the norm rather than the exception over just one generation of voters.
