    Tony Snow Repub Lap Dog

The pantheon of conservative talk show hosts is legion: Rush, O'Reilly, Savage, Hannity, Snow.

But Tony Snow has been officially toppled.

Earlier this week, I heard a rumor that Snow might be the next White House Press Secretary.

Take it from me; he's already accepted the job.

After what I heard from him on his show yesterday, he probably is just awaiting the results of his drug test.

He was "interviewing" the head of the Minutemen. A group of patriotic Americans who are volunteering to do what the Constitution assigns to the federal government.

A group and person Snow has championed in the past.

    Not yesterday.

Snow was badgering the guy and finally Snow ended with "the Congress is debating the immigration law. Why don't you just let the legal process be completed and see what happens."

    Blech!!!

The Repubs are poised to lose both houses of Congress this Fall. And it won't be because of the superiority of the ideas of Pelosi, Kennedy, Reid et al. They have studiously avoided putting out any ideas at all.

It's because conservative troglodytes like me are disgusted with the fat, flaccid, emotionless, idea-less, country club leadership of dopes like Hastert and Frist.

So Pelosi and Reid will rule the roost. No problemo. They'll have two years to demonstrate how clueless they are.

As for the Repubs, the fire of a Democrat Congress will consume their dross. They'll come out of this wander in the wilderness reinvigorated and stronger. They can relearn Reagan's philosophies.

If they learn their lessons well, they can sweep the White House and Congress in 2008.

    ROFLMAO!!!

It's not the Democrats who are clueless. It's Georgie Bush and his merry neocon yes-men (and women) who are clueless, and it's Georgie who will put a Democrat in the White House in 2008 (and likely with a Democratic Congress)!!!

    Maybe, Linda.

But the Democrat "grand strategy" this year is the three monkey approach. Hoping that they won't have to actually do anything and let the Repubs implode. Might work.

Won't work in 2008 if they take over the Congress this year.

So do you suppose "deep thinkers" in the national Democratic party are toying with taking a dive on this year's elections. To give them a shot at the 2008 trifecta?

    Not at all, Steven.

These people are unworthy of support.

I will not support someone of pygmy stature merely because he wears red PJs.

There are brave men and women putting their lives on the line every day. They do not do it so that Hastert, Frist, McCain et al pull a circle jerk. At the border. With Iran. With No Korea.

The Indians burned off the Buffalo grass on the great plains so it would grow back more lush the next season.

Forest fires clear out undergrowth so the mighty Sequoia can thrive.

I don't know who the next Reagan Sequoia is, but we have to remove the scrub Hasterts, Frists and McCains to let him/her thrive and grow.

If it means putting up temporarily with some Poisonous Pelosi or Deadly Nightshade Reid, so be it. They will expose themselves as the straw men they are and be tossed aside.

The United States of America has serious problems facing it and these flatulent country club government employees have squandered years and have little to show for it.

The Dems are counting on reactions of millions of voters similar to mine.

They're even willing to accept that I only appear to be reacting according to their strategy of obstruction. Which will stymie any Republican initiative. And cause people to join them saying, "They can't get anything done."

Many of us know what they're doing. Why the Repubs haven't just slapped them aside is another reason for our contempt.

So the Pelosis/Reids will feel vindicated about anything they've done/not done. Because it might help them to win the next election. Winning is the alpha and the omega for these people.

The reason they still lionize a somewhat conservative Democrat President from a backwater Southern state because he won. No matter that another Texarkana hick gave him the first victory. He won. Alpha and Omega.

Winning might not be the best outcome for Pelosi/Reid, though.

Bush sucks but so do the socialistic dems. Resurrecting Ronald Reagan is not the answer either, we need another "Grover Cleveland".

Way to kick a guy when he's down. He just gets back to work from colon cancer treatment and you guys are already kicking him in the ass. Tony Snow is an excellent speaker and he knows how to handle the Washington press corps. He is an excellent choice for press secretary.

Didn't know about his colon cancer.

Will remember him in my prayers.

    Have been a big fan.

    Not right now, though.

To be expected though: if he's going to take the Prez's coin, he's got to spout the party line.

BUT-he should immediately have taken a leave from pretending to be an objective commentator. Or there should be one of those low voice overs in the background (Kind of like the old Joe Isuzu sub titles) saying, "I've accepted a job with the Bush Admin. Take everything I say with that in mind."

That was my first reaction last week.

He's a star in his own right and is a true working broadcast journalist. Smarter than most of the guys in the press briefing.

I was reacting to his show performance. Kind of disgusting to see/hear him do a 180. He should have "recused" himself right away.

BTW-Yours was my first reaction and still is.

Well, isn't that delightful! I am sure he will be as useless as his predecessor. And by the way: No REAL journalist would take a flack job in Bush's White House. That job conflicts with all principles of good journalism.

Then again, he was working for FOX News, right? So he's already shed all remnants of professional journalism......

I'm sure his transition from supposed journalist to liar for Bush will be smooth.....

    You and those oxymorons.

Why not bloviate about Democratic professional journalists?

    Go for the trifecta!!!

I'm less concerned with who is standing at the podium than with the truthfulness of what they're saying.

I don't care about journalism credentials or past employment history with Fox News or whether he secretly listens to the Dixie Chicks. If he's telling the truth, that's all I care about. Unfortunately, recent history doesn't make me optimistic... hopefully he'll surprise me.

Treachery made a monster out of me
