Infected Ebola patient being flown to Atlanta: Are health authorities risking a U.S. outbreak?

(NaturalNews) A patient infected with Ebola is being flown into the United States to be held for medical examination and treatment at Emory University in Atlanta, reports The Guardian. (1) "Emory University Hospital in Atlanta is set to receive a patient infected with the deadly Ebola disease currently sweeping through swaths of west Africa," the paper reports. The patient is reportedly one of the American doctors who was recently infected with the disease.

This event will make the first time in history that a level-4 biohazard infectious agent is being transported by air into a large U.S. city while still multiplying inside a living patient. This startling revelation brings up all sorts of questions that range from the gullibly hopeful to the impossibly sinister. Here are some of the thoughts going through people's minds on this right now:

What is your opinion on this?

If they were sending this patient to the medical corridor in Buffalo would it be a non-issue?

Seeing our current Administration is very lax with securing the southern border what stops an infected person from coming over? We see religious fanatics teaching their children how to be suicide bombers against the western world. What would stop some of these fanatics from infecting themselves or their kids? They would come over the border with the rest of the 10000's of people illegally entering the USA? Think about this. The department of homeland security is busing or flying countless people here illegally all over the USA. Couple of Ebola infected people on each bus then what?

A topic for another thread. We pay quite a bit of taxes to have so many incompetent people working for our government. I think our defense budget is one of the highest in the world yet the people who work for us are not keeping people from illegally entering the USA. I'm pretty sure the current administration along with the last administration of Republicans haven't done much on the southern border but talk about it. Talk is cheap yet we pay top dollar.

Ebola virus (formerly officially designated Zaire ebolavirus, or EBOV) is a virological taxon species included in the genus Ebolavirus, family Filoviridae, members are called Filovirus,[1] the order is Mononegavirales.[2] The Zaire ebolavirus is the most dangerous of the five species of Ebola viruses of the Ebolavirus genus which are the causative agents of Ebola virus disease.[2] The virus causes an extremely severe hemorrhagic fever in humans and other primates. EBOV is a select agent, World Health Organization Risk Group 4 Pathogen (requiring Biosafety Level 4-equivalent containment), a U.S. National Institutes of Health/National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases Category A Priority Pathogen, U.S. CDC Centers for Disease Control and Prevention Category A Bioterrorism Agent, and listed as a Biological Agent for Export Control by the Australia Group.
The name Zaire ebolavirus is derived from Zaire (the country in which the Ebola virus was first discovered) and the taxonomic suffix ebolavirus (which denotes an ebolavirus species).[2]

    Watch the Movie Outbreak

It should be noted that there is no cure for ebola, and the strain has infected over 100 health workers who have to follow some of the most stringent containment. we are talking air tanks, moon suits, decontamination showers, the works, yet over 100 still got sick...

mean while our southern border is wide open, and the federal govt isnt even doing basic medical screening... and shipping illegals all over the country...

Ebola patient walks into Atlanta hospital; wife sees him through glass

Atlanta (CNN) -- A specially equipped medical plane whisked Ebola-stricken Dr. Kent Brantly from Liberia to Georgia on Saturday, setting up the latest leg of a race to save the man who's now the first known Ebola patient on U.S. soil.

    here is something to consider,

this doctor was subject to some of the most stringent containment procedures, moon suits, tanks, decontamination showers, the whole nine yards, and he got sick...

this strain, is the worst strain that has ever been seen in history, and its a different strain than the known ebola...

some in the tin foil hat community, is calling this a weaponized version of ebola... and its here, in the US.

I have news for you all. Ebola won't be our downfall. it will be something like CRE. Caused be us.

Also, do you honestly think the virus is not already in this county for research?

Ebola is not an airborne disease. It's spread by close contact with bodily fluids.

If your only source of info is the Tin Foil community then you could really say anything without backing it up. I doubt anything in your post here is accurate. The doctors that got sick in Africa were missionaries, not govt researchers.

I doubt the doctors in Africa are doing the full containment suit thing out in the field
From what I've read much of the reason it's so bad in Africa is ignorance. They stick to burial rituals that result in family and friends coming into physical contact with the bodies of dead ebola patients shortly after death while the virus is still viable
add in over all poor sanitation and hygiene and it's a perfect breeding ground for it.

The organization was also consulting with anthropologies to help suspend local customs such as eating bush meat or hugging and kissing Ebola victims at their funerals, which can transmit the disease, Chan said.

Ebola is not the threat that other diseases are. When you have airborne communicability you have a problem. This is not the case as far as I know.

We have worse things in our labs than ebola by a million things that are weaponized. Now that's the scary crap!

I can't remember the last time I ate dried fruitbat.
