What if democracy is a fraud?

    http://www.foxnews.com/opinion/2014/...racy-is-fraud/

What if you were allowed to vote only because it didn’t make a difference? What if no matter how you voted the elites always got their way? What if the concept of one person/one vote was just a fiction created by the government to induce your compliance?

What if democracy as it has come to exist in America today is dangerous to personal freedom? What if our so-called democracy erodes the people’s understanding of natural rights and the reasons for government and instead turns political campaigns into beauty contests? What if American democracy allows the government to do anything it wants, as long as more people bother to show up at the voting booth to support the government than show up to say no?
Wierd. I have been say the same thing for DAYS!

Wonder if Judge Napolitano reads Speakup?

Electronic voting machines have to go.

Back to the original voting machines with a paper trail or something on that order.

The electronics ones don't even give you a read out how your page was read.

That is pretty absurd. I wonder why they chose to do it that way. It would seem like something so simple could only be purposefully left out.

I think the system started out well intentioned and was not always dishonorable. After all, you had a group of people fed up with government, which is exactly how we are becoming day by day. The biggest issue is that people keep putting the SAME idiots in office year after year. I don't care who you are, when your at it for 10, 15 or 25 years the corruption is going to kick in. we need TERM LIMITS! People have become lazy and stupid. Very few care enough to do some research and get involved in the process. Ignorance makes it easy for people to just believe what the talking head politician is telling them rather than go out and think for themselves. On top of that, you have a large group of people with blinders on. Those that work for the government and those who take from the government. No matter how bad it gets for "us", they will vote for whoever is greasing them, and when those people out number us, we end up where we are. Look at Cuomo, the guy has the balls to stand behind a podium with the words "restoring public trust" on it, while behind the scenes, we find out he's deflecting any investigations about him. The sad thing is people bought it, and they are STILL buying it in hind sight.

I wonder if the people we put in political office spend as much time on the issues as we do on this board?

Now this is common ground. Something I totally buy into. It IS a fraud
Let me articulate this for you:

Well they could say they are being environmentally friendly by not creating paper waste.

Or "They work hard everyday to save the tax payer money" Wouldn't want to have to spend money on paper..

    No paper trail no proof...

The "mechanical" voting is too hard to fake. If you want to abuse it there's only a few successful ways. First you can get names of recently diseased people - register them and vote with their name. Takes allot of time and effort.

Another way is to use voter registration info - you go to the Board of elections and buy the lists of registered voters(main security flaw). Then you have to buy the "Prime voters lists" - this shows who votes and how often - those aren't the people you want! You want the names of people who have a habit of not voting. Those are the names you can use - less likely to get caught when you send someone to vote.

Then you have to deal with the poll watchers - no big deal - what committee member is going to stop his people from getting another vote(another flaw in the faux safe guards) - that's why they use committee people as poll watchers. The final "safe guard for the public" to see is the meter on the outside back of each machine(can be viewed from the back of the machine). The number of actual total voters is confirmed by the poll watchers and the machines are locked down and removed.

: The machines are then taken to a "secure storage area" where the officials open them and count individual votes per lever pull and identify votes per candidate. Any way it harder to manipulate the counts this way - it can be done - its just more time consuming and involved.

The computers and the new system are a joke - you have no proof of your vote being properly/accurately being recorded - but don't think for one second the watchers at the poll ever cheat - they cant - they aren't supposed to. You need them to believe in what they see.

The computer system is where the manipulation must likely happens or will happen. Its a simple matter of match - a good programmer building in some formulas - a dash of binary math - alga rhythms and bingo(not sure of spelling).

Everyone who actually watch's every step of the physical process see's exactly what they should - in nano seconds millions of computations occur and the out come is as the programmer planned.

Democracy is fake - its just a big pacifier for the working class - so is the electoral collage Dog and Pony show. To some its like religion - many believe it was invented and refined to give the minority a way of controlling the masses and having them believe they have a choice/voice/vote.

I think the Politicians took their idea straight from the bibles examples. Its for our own good -

Just think without them to protect us from our own devises what anarchy would ensue !

Anyone know what model electronic voting computer our county uses? I want to see if there is an option for a printed vote receipt.

At the end of the night it spits out a long receipt for each district on thermal paper for the poll watchers to confirm. I don't know if that can be used for ballot conformation. At this point, I would be happy if the thing just flashed a screen for you to review your candidates. But it would be pretty cool if it printed a receipt.

Federal agency finds defects in ballot scanners

he U.S. Election Assistance Commission said the ballot reader, made by Omaha-based ES&S, is not in compliance with federal standards. And while it's the first time the 8-year-old agency has taken such a step, it falls just short of decertification — a move that could force election officials to abandon the machines on the eve of the 2012 presidential primaries.

The DS200 optical-scan system is designed to read paper ballots fed into the machines by voters themselves at their precincts. It's used in all or part of Florida, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, New York and Wisconsin.
