Reconstructed Wegmans store to open in Depew

Eight months after closing and demolishing its first Buffalo area store, Wegmans Food Markets is ready to open its new Depew supermarket.

Wegmans will be opening the re-built Dick Road store on Sunday morning. The 100,000-square-foot store replaces the original Wegmans that was constructed and opened by the Rochester-based chain in 1977.

I can't wait to go to the new Wegman's but I think I will pass up the opening day.

I live near the new Dick Rd store. I cannot wait for it to open! I hate crowds, but I may have to go to the grand opening anyways because I am just too curious.
