The Erie County Industrial Development Agency's board of directors unanimously approved a $600,000 inducement package for Braxner LLC whose game plan is to transform the empty Sivaco Co. plant on River Road into coke oven repair center whose clients will include its immediate next door neighbor, Tonawanda Coke Co.

Without the incentive package, the project may have ended up in Erie, Pa.

Braxner, a real estate holding company, plans to lease the 50,000-square-feet in the plant to Vanocur Refractories LLC. The new firm will employ 44 people.

The deal was one of four the IDA directors unanimously approved during their meeting Monday morning.

Others include two packages related to expansion of IntelliRisk Management Corp., a collections call center, that will be moving from Amherst to a Dick Road facility owned by Benderson Development Co.

With the move, the company hopes to add 250 new workers.

Also, Moog Inc. received a $5.4 million inducement package to aid with the expansion of its East Aurora headquarters.

The new 17,000-square-foot addition to the company's plant is for work related to contracts the company has received in connection with the F-35 fighter jet.
