There was an author searching for vintage Edison type Christmas lights.

I took photos of these a while back.



They emailed asking...

"Fabulous photo, Tony! I'm looking for antique Christmas lights for possible use on a book cover. If interested, please contact me"

Seeing opportunity was knocking I asked what do you want.

The designer penciled out how they wanted the photo laid out.



They wanted a dead man's hand on a wooden floor sort of gripping the set of Edison Christmas lights. Other people submitted photos but they picked mine.

Congrats on your first modeling job. How did you make your hand look dead?

I'm pasty looking during the winter and their designer used photoshop. They wanted a photo with the bulbs lit up but Vicki wouldn't have allowed that. A few are burnt out and they are battery operated.

I'd go easy on the "hand model" label...You know what they say about "hand" models don't you? They can only model their hands for a reason - Sort of like having a good face for radio

The woman sent us the first book of the series. My hand will be on the second book which is in the works.
