I haven't been to a gun store in a couple months, but I was wondering the other day after my co-worker brought it up. Has there been a run on ammo & canned goods & gun store type merchandise due to this flu threat? Or is everybody mostly "stocked up" already?
2 years ago, it was the Avian Flu Pandemic. Then it was the West Nile Virus. After that, Mad Cow Disease.....Prior to that it was African Killer Bee's and holes in the Ozone layer from aerosol hairspray......
My personal opinion is that after surviving the October Storm™, any WNY'er who hasn't already prepared for some unexpected catastrophy, isn't currently running out to the local gunshop trying to obtain guns 'n ammo.
The recent surge in firearm and ammunition sales is mostly associated with the Obama admin stating that they will soon be attempting to reinstate the Assault Weapons Ban, making it much harder to own these types of guns.
