    Fear at gun shows grow

"Fear of Government" seemed to be the overall discussion at the Springville gun show.

Among the hottest selling items were bumper stickers and Repeal Safe Act signs.

Everyone was talking about Government and the intrusive Gov. Cuomo. While the majority of the attendees were Military Veterans and hunters who have served their Country - fear of government intrusions dominated. One guy had a jacket on with a embroidered badge on the lapel - he was greeted by stairs and mistrust - then most noticed it wasn't law enforcement.

One of the next part of Gov. Cuomo's plan is tracking ammo purchases. How does that curb crime - its just driving up prices and fear.

Remember, this is a rural area - farms and green space. People were stock piling 22 caliber ammunition - I asked why ? They said its the most common bullet they use - for everything from rodents to small game. Their greatest fear is government restrictions increasing - yet fear of attention by same forces them to quietly purchase ammo.

One vendor told us that fear of speaking freely hampered sales and purchases. The vendors were afraid of the attendee's, because you never knew if they were law enforcement or just customers.

A big topic of the day was a dodge van in the parking lot. It was parked there earlier Saturday morning. It had blacked out windows and the rear doors faced the building entrance. None of the vendors or show operators seemed to recognize it and there it sat all day.

So just how does all this help our "Crime Rate" - how does instilling "Fear of Government" within rural America relate to reducing our "Crime Rate" ? ?

Its truly sad to sit and listen to our Veterans, farmers and legal gun owners exchange stories of mistrust and frustration over freedoms lost ! God Bless America .

Paranoid prepars - their first reaction to a political ruling party they don't agree with is to arm themselves. Not intelligent enough to organize an effective political opposition. Nope, "get the guns Bubba, the guberment is coming" is their first respoonse.

The people who understand we are the government will always rule it. The rest will always be ruled by it.

If they had clung as hard to their text books as they do those guns and bibles, they probably wouldn't be so self-disenfranchised now.

So once again - as usual you have no factual answers/input - just Party Rhetoric.

Your pat answer is : If these people were elitist party playing scum bags (like you, gonads) they would have no fear of Government intrusions and or people like you ?

My word of advice from this point forward is to vote out any member of the political party that supports strict gun control. That seems to be the Democratic party who's local support group are the www.ecdems.com. That group has small support groups throughout our towns in erie county. Presidential elections will be here soon enough. Do you really want "I promise 200,000 jobs/It was over a youtube video/what difference does it make" Hillary as your next president?

That depends on the opposition. If they run the likes of Ted Cruz or Sarah Palin it'll be a landslide for Hillary. If they get smart and tell the tea hatters to wear their costumes someplace else they may have a chance of beating Hillary.

I know Palin wouldn't win. Don't know about Ted though. Quite a few people seem to like his ideas.

Yep, he has followers, and I'll bet everyone of them is afraid of the guberment and gays. Ted's already part of the guberment, and if history repeats itself, it'll turn out that Ted is gay. Yeehaw!

And if he was gay so what? Why would you have an issue with that?

Did it ever enter your brain, that the DHS is buying billions of rounds of ammo, riot gear APCs, and other military equipment?

Gun sales and ammo purchases are up by private citizens because they fear a civil war.

    Elections are a pipe dream.

Uh..guess you don't know Ted...Ted is afraid of gays...he claims they'll be the ruin of the United States and civilization as we know it.

You gotta know your candidates if you are going to discuss them.

the small minority of self-disenfranchised fools afraid of their own shadows (which is what the government is - our own shadow) aren't afraid of a civil war - they are the traitors who intend to start it. just like the confederate traitors who started a civil war to try to preserve slavery.

Seems like you put a lot of time and thought into this post. I just wanted to highlight the impeccable discourse you are adding.
