Lightbulb Why - now - OH I forgot - election time.

Here we go again - Councilman/Banker Ron Ruffino has proved tax subsidized sports buys votes.

He has promised tax funded baseball playing fields( one he campaigned on is the tax subsidized batting house at Westwood)

He promised and campaigned on providing tax funded soccer fields(which turned out to be a bail out for a cement company).

He takes credit for other things like clocks(which unlike he promised, ended up being funded with tax dollars)

Now he sponsors a resolution - he has already spoke on during his campaigning - now he sponsors a resolution to approve the plan for a skate park design.

He didn't actually do anything to bring it closer to raising private money to fund it - he didn't run a fund raiser or donate his money - he basically said "We aren't going to change the design" - the funds are not yet in place - yet its convenient that once again - just in time to be used as "Campaign Talking Points" - he sponsors a resolution to affirm what others actually worked hard to accomplish.

The only time his "Campaign Promises" come true is when they are tax funded and subsidized. Is this what home owning taxpayers/voters want - glad handing tax funded Politicians? Ones who's only personal achievements are tax funded?

He works for a Bank - why haven't these bankers donated the funds for these perks? They fund developers who earn millions off of developing and selling Lancaster - why don't the bankers and developers pitch in?

People like this profit off of "All Lancaster Living Has to offer" - they enhance the salability of subdivisions by installing tax funded goodies.

    Let them pay.

YYYYYEEEPPPPPP, it's an election year and Ruffino announced tonight that he is looking for land for soccer fields.

I guess that's his version of transparency as we could SEE it coming.
