NO CASINO IN CHEEKTOWAGA

New York State Senator Dale Volker was a guest speaker at Saturday night's Central Avenue rededication program. His comments on a casino in Cheektowaga are of great interest to local residents. He said that there would be no casino built in Cheektowaga or Lancaster. The Seneca Nation will build it's casino in Buffalo. They are using the proposed Cheektowaga location to get concessions from the city of Buffalo.

If this is true, it's good news for local residents who oppose a casino in Cheektowaga or Lancaster. Residents should continue to organizing against a proposed suburban casino until an official announcement is made.
