YNN reported that:

1. The bullet that killed Jeffrey Roberts, volunteer fire chief in the Chautauqua County town of Sheridan, appears to have come from his 73-year old father's gun.

2. The victim had removed his blaze orange vest and was field dressing the deer when the fatal shot was fired.

2. The fatal shot took place after sunset, so it would have been illegal to be shooting at a deer at that time.

3. The father doesn't remember anything about the incident.

I wonder what would have been the result if it was a hunter from Syracuse or Rochester, or even Buffalo that had fired the fatal shot?
