    Firework displays in your district = opportunity

    for leg candidates to get their name out and collect additional signatures. I would be sure to have petition volunteers, campaign info, etc... available at every large fireworks gathering coming up on the July 4th weekend.

    Hats, shirts, buttons, balloons, etc...

    * Public property
    * Professional
    * Not forcing info on anyone
    * "Being available" for comment without creating public hazard

    Oh Yeah! In the midst of a national celebration of our independence, it would be fantastic for children and adults to mingle face to face with the men and women who propose to bring reforms to this county. However, let us not limit this to legislature candidates since they are only a piece of the puzzle.

    Candidates may want to exercise some caution in accepting Lars' advice. Remember these fireworks displays are mostly viewed as relaxing, with some family time. The last thing a potential voter wants is to be bothered with flyers and petition signatures when they are trying to enjoy some quality time with the youngins. Remember the Hari Krishnas and how you avoided them. If you feel compelled to accept Lars' advice...be low key!

    Absolutely low key - meet 'n greet - but alot of downtime why people are sittin' around waitin' for the big event. Ya know you've got to get your blankets and chairs out early, stake your claim, before the mass of humanity arrives.

    P.S. - Leave the roses and daisies at home and don't shave your head bald unless you look like Kojak or Captain Piccard :>)
