A Rod? Was he worth it?
WE all know the Yankees are in real trouble and have been for many weeks. The Yankees are only 22 point above 500. this year which means a major shake up is coming.
It appears Joe Torre may be leveing the Yankees after 10 years to be replaced by Goerge Steinbrenner's favorite Lou Piniella who wants out of his tampa bay's contract.
Not only the couch shake up is coming there is the MOVE coming. Yep! The Yankees will be leveing Yankees stadium and heading to there new stadium and the House that Babe Ruth built will become a thing of the past. I for one am against this stadium move because of all its history related to the teams success through the years. What will happen to Yankees stadium well rumors are its to be torn down once the new stadium is finished.
There have been many major changes in baseball and yes, we all lived through them and baseball went on to play another day....Well Yankees make your changes to the line up and lets play ball !!!!

A Rod? Was he worth it?
"If you want to know what God thinks of money just look at the people he gave it to."
By the way, what happened to biker? I miss the old coot.
Torre has led the team to 1st place 9 of the past 10 years. (The off year was 2nd place, with 96 wins in '97.
I've always repected Steinbrenner because, as big a jerk as he may be, he does know how to assemble (yes, buy) a winning team.
However, George deserves to burn in hell if he fires Torre.
...as far as the new stadium goes, don't forget the stadium was completely rebuilt in '77. The House that Ruth built is long gone.
