    So who has experience raising money for community items?

    BUFFALO CENTRAL TERMINAL ART DECO LIGHT FIXTURE at 1stdibs

    It was said the dealer will sell the piece for $3000 to the Terminal.

    I made a comment I'll chip in $100 bucks so that is $2900 more to go.....

    Anyone have experience with like micro funding or crowd sourcing begging for donations?

    Res - you need to crowdfund this.

    indiegogo.com or kickstarter.com are both sites but indiegogo has more of a community benefit feel to it.

    Yes, there were still a couple in Buffalo as well (may be still), but the one in Toronto has been there for years. A number of them were purchased by the person who opened the Cafe Deco restaurants starting in Hong Kong. http://www.cafedecogroup.com/outlet....=CafeDecoMacau
