Our towns run popularity contest to elect board members. Each election cycle we have two groups (Dems/Reps) of people who campaign against each other even if the current people in office are good. Some of these people the parties push are more self serving to the party versus the community they represent.

Take cheektowaga for example. Enough bs goes on that makes you question what the hell is going on and WHY does the town board basically let it continue. Then the light bulb goes off. They are all but one are part of the "Democratic Party Social Club of Cheektowaga" friends and family group. Your lucky all your town is purchasing is an Ipad. We got a hovercraft.

What can an ordinary taxpayer do to stop this "friends and family" plan? I think we deserve people in office who can do the job and do it well. We need to stop this nonsense NOW. Does anyone one have some suggestions on how to start this ball rolling?

Don't lie, tell the truth how the small political groups effect each of our town's bottom line.

Go review the campaign literature a few of the controlling small political parties mail out.
